Nesteq RubberScrew Magnets Fan Isolation Assembly Set

NesteQ’s RubberScrew Magnets are an ingenious little product. They are designed to allow you to mount a cooling virtually anywhere inside a PC case.

These great little magnetic fan mounts are incredibly powerful and versatile. You will be able to locate a cooling fan in a surprising number of positions and orientations within your PC case (or anywhere else for that matter!).

The product includes four very powerful magnets which are capable of holding fans of sizes up to 200mm in place with no fear of them coming loose. Also in the package are six rubber fan screws and four rubber washers which are all designed to reduce the vibrational noise generated by the fan.

There are two ways to mount a fan using these RubberScrews. First is the conventional way that uses the screw holes at each corner of the fan. The second method allows the fan to be mounted on its side. This installation is perfect for providing extra air flow over PCI cards. The images below show some mounting methods.

There are, however, two downsides to this amazing little product. The first one is that being magnetic, they will only stick to steel surfaces, so if your PC case is manufactured from aluminium then they won’t work. Secondly, the rubber fan screws will only work with fans that are flanged and not ribbed fans. The image below shows this in more detail.
