Jonsbo UMX4 Zone Compact Midi Tower Aluminium Cases Ultra

The Jonsbo UMX4 is a compact ATX case that combines a steel chassis for maximum stability with an extravagant exterior designed in brushed aluminium. The design of the sleek aluminium casing is both elegant and functional.

The fine curves of the UMX4 immediately draw your attention, with the design highlight being the peppy designed case foot. Between the bottom of the chassis and the foot is a 6.5cm high recess. One advantage of this is that the internally mounted fans can effortlessly suck in fresh air for optimum cooling of the system. Thanks to the specially decoupled side panels, the UMX4 is also very quiet during operation. The side panels rest on a specially designed silicone pad, optimally absorbing any vibrations that may occur.

The chassis of the UMX4 is made of high quality 1mm thick SGCC steel and gives the case maximum stability. A 2mm thick aluminium panel encloses the chassis and the side panels are formed from 2 mm thick aluminium. The brushed aluminium is of the highest quality and gives the UMX4 a particularly attractive appearance. Air intakes in the bottom and under the top allow for ideal air exchange.

The interior of the UMX4 has been designed to be as innovative as the exterior. The power supply is installed in a specially designed frame behind the front panel to save space and an extensive cable management system permits a clean installation of the cables. The power connector is located at its usual place at the rear of the case with a corresponding pre-installed loop cable.

The Hard Drive cage is located above the PSU, which can accommodate up to two 3.5” drives. The hard drives are simply fitted with specially designed screws with anti-vibration rubber and inserted into the drive bays. The installation is very simple and guarantees that any vibrations that might occur are effectively dampened. The side of the drive cage allows for mounting up to four 2.5” HDDs/SSDs.

Another 2.5” HDD/SSD can be mounted to the back of the motherboard tray. Therefore the hard drive capacity of the case can easily be extended without causing space problems in this compact case.

The ventilation system of the UMX2 is designed for maximum performance. In order to guarantee the optimal ventilation of the interior, two 120 x 20mm thin fans are pre-installed at the bottom in order to suck in cool air from the outside. Under the top cover is installed a 140mm fan that continuously removes the heat generated from the interior. Dust filters under the bottom ensure that dust stays out, and can be easily removed and cleaned.

Finally, two USB 3.0 and two USB 2.0 connectors are available at the front of the case as well as headphone and microphone sockets.

New RGB Window Version

Jonsbo has updated the windowed version of the UMX4 to now include RGB! The RGB version is supplied with three RGB fans and an LED strip. Along with the Jonsbo logo, these can be controlled by either the supplied LB3 RGB controller or connected to a compatible motherboard to allow them to be synced with the likes of ASUS AURA or MSI Mystic Light. The latter gives total control over the colours of all RGB connected devices by simply installing and configuring the appropriate software.
