Super power, super Quiet
Fallout 4 triggered my purchase of this machine, learning that PS4 frame rates were poor and not always hitting 30FPS I wanted to play the game in a better fashion.
I ordered the machine, paid for it online and waited for it to be built which took only 3 days, then it was ready to collect.
I travelled a round trip of 360 miles in heavy rain to collect the machine, and I was very glad I did. The Quiet Pc office is located in a beautiful part of England so its worth collecting your machine, just to know its safe in your hands. The staff there are very friendly and even powered the machine on to demonstrate how quiet it was.
I was not disappointed, its a stunning machine, very quiet indeed. The case is excellent, this is a luxury case that has lots of nice features. The cable management plate inside for example, is very nice.
Build quality by QuietPC is also superb, the entire machine was put together, OS installed and ready to go. I only had to activate Windows and login to my live account and I was on the desktop ready to start installing Steam, the latest NVidia driver and some games. All the boxes to the components are also included as are all the cables and instructions etc. for all the parts you purchase. Something I was hoping for and I wasn't disappointed.
These are the steps to start a game which demonstrate how quick it is:
1) press the mouse button on the wireless keyboard to wake the machine
2) press a key to bring up the login screen then type in your pin number (seems Windows 64 Pro allows you to just have a numeric pin which doesn't even require pressing enter after you type it)
3) from the desktop open Steam, select your game and click Play
Regarding Fallout 4, I have not been disappointed. Load times are excellent, going in and out of building or fast travelling is about 4-5 seconds at most.
I was expecting noise levels to change when playing but it stays the same. It's not silent as that is impossible when fans are employed, however its very acceptable and is not noticeable during gameplay. Having played through games like 'Everybody's Gone to the Rapture' on ps4, I know how noisy a machine can get so I was expecting the same. Its certainly nothing like that and is better performance overall.
The only downside to the machine is the LEDs on the fans at the rear of the case are too bright for me (in a dark room).
