At last - Affordable PC Silence!

Building on Nofan’s revolutionary IcePipe silent cooler as a starting point, we are proud to offer the Nofan A430 which is a fully-built fanless and silent PC system, ready to go. It uses Nofan’s unique IcePipe processor cooler for no noise, no dust, no moving parts and no maintenance. The machine can be configured to your exact specification and offers, as you would expect, totally silent operation at an affordable price.

Top Performance and Reliability

The PC itself doesn’t compromise on performance, and can be built pre-installed with up to 32 gigabytes of memory and an Intel 4th Generation “Haswell” CPU. Famous for their excellent performance/value balance, the Core i5 and i7 processors have a quad-core architecture and under heavy loading, will automatically “Turbo Boost” their clock speed. Regarding memory, we supply a minimum of 4GB to ensure that the machine’s performance is not bottlenecked, although upgrading to 8GB or more will ensure that it has plenty to spare and will always offer excellent responsiveness even when running multiple applications simultaneously. We are now also offering our systems with Ubuntu Linux pre-installed.

Clean Build™ Promise

The price of many pre-built PCs these days is often supported by cash kickbacks from software companies who pay hardware manufacturers to pre-install limited or trial versions of their software and then hope that the customer pays to upgrade to the full version. The downside to this approach is that the new PC comes pre-loaded with a lot of “junkware” which bloats the operating system and can cause severe performance degradation.

Here at Quiet PC we believe that customers have every right to expect the best possible performance from a brand new PC, so every system we build comes with our Clean Build™ promise. We install the operating system (if you order one), motherboard drivers, OS updates and (for Windows 7 only) Microsoft Security Essentials / Windows Defender - that’s it. You won’t be pestered by pop-ups and nag screens and you can get on with using your new PC immediately without having to uninstall lots of junkware first. Your new machine will boot in super-quick time and will stay running quickly for many months and years to come.

Free hardware support and fully inclusive warranty

We offer free hardware technical support for as long as you own the machine. This support covers any hardware query or problem, including advice on maintenance and upgrades. We regret we can’t offer software support or training so we would recommend contacting the software vendor in this instance. Support for Ubuntu can be obtained through online forums, or on a commercial basis from Canonical Ltd.

Our hardware warranty runs for two years and is offered on a “collect and return” basis, meaning that you don’t need to worry about getting the machine back to us - we will instruct our courier to collect it from you on a day of your choosing, then after we have checked and repaired it we will send it back to you by express courier at our expense. In addition, unlike many other PC suppliers, we have an “open-case” policy which means you are free to open the machine and perform your own minor modifications or upgrades without worrying that your warranty might be affected.

Customer Reviews

Not just a quiet PC, totally silent – almost too quiet :)

,

When I first pressed the ON button I was impressed by just how quiet it was… then I realised nothing had happened and it hadn’t come on at all. After an embarrassingly long tantrum that we’ll gloss over I finally discovered the power supply ON/OFF switch on the underside of the tower :)

In my defence I have owned 20+ custom build PCs over the years and even built a few myself. I’ve owned several PCs with PSUs that didn’t have an On/Off switch at all so wasn’t surprised when there wasn’t one apparent on the exterior. It wasn’t until I opened the side panel to check for loose connections (there were none, it’s tight as a drum inside) and noticed a cable disappear into the ‘floor’ that I twigged. The PSU on/off switch is in a recess on the underside, very neat. A ‘heads up’ would’ve been nice though:) Especially when you consider they ‘d been thoughtful enough to include a photocopy of the Win8 serial sticker from the back of the case, to save you scrabbling around when you need it to authorise your copy of the OS.

I bought this machine to replace my general office PC and in order to test the Quiet tech. Previously I’ve paid a lot of money to have high end custom graphics workstations ‘silenced’ but they’ve always retained a low level hum that drives me crazy after a while.

This Quiet PC is absolutely silent. The only indication that it is running is the blue light on the front power button and the odd red flicker from the HD indicator. The only time it makes any sound is when the optional Blue Ray player is reading a disk, that’s the only moving part in the machine. When I am working at another desk I forget this machine is even on.

The midi tower case is not pretty to look at and the huge Icepipe CPU cooler pretty much takes up the entire interior. I was worried about heat, but even after it’s been on all day I can’t really detect with my hand any heat coming off the top or the sides. I have it temporarily connected to my old Dell monitor which gets hot enough to cook my face after about half an hour, so I was concerned about additional heat. No need, it’s cool.

I stubbornly refused to upgrade from XP and this is my first Win8.1 PC. I am still not in love with Win8, but that’s not the hardware’s fault. I can thoroughly recommend this quiet PC. It promises silence and that’s exactly what you get (even after you work out how to turn it on :) When I replace my graphics workstation in the next few months I’ll be buying a Quiet PC.

Thanks for your detailed review! Sorry to hear about the confusion with the power switch. We will ensure the switch is left in the ‘on’ position for future customers to avoid recurrence.
