Streacom NC2 Fanless Aluminium Chassis for Intel NUC
Designed for the Next Unit of Computing (NUC) platform, the NC1 delivers silent computing in an incredibly small package.
The Intel NUC platform has been designed to deliver full size computing power in a TINY package and the NC2 stays true to that vision.

At only 59mm, the NC2 is only 11mm taller than the NC1 but provides the additional internal space to fit a 2.5” drive. The NC2 also keeps all of the great features of the NC1, compact and stylish design, ultra efficient passive cooling, modular assembly, and acrylic sides which allow for internal WiFi / Bluetooth, making it the perfect case for an ultra small and silent PC.
The case is also supplied with a short SATA data/power cable which is the perfect length for the internal SSD and gets you up and running right out of the box. If you need internal WiFi or vertical mounting, the NC2 is compatible with the existing ST-VM1 VESA mount and the ST-INFI2 Antenna.

Love it. My servers is now 5*C cooler.
I want to say that I love these. Now my servers run 5*C cooler, and my server rack become completely silent.
However, there was no cooling solution or aid for the mini-PCIe SSD, this was one star off for that. Im considering to possible replace the mini-PCIe SSD with a full fledged 2.5” SSD instead, to avoid the trouble of the SSD breaking down.
The plastic sides were good too, to be able to cut out a cutout on one of them for a USB cable that was run to the internal USB 2.0 header on motherboard. (I use it to avoid certain issues with the USB 3.0 controller and Linux support).
However, I would not recommend using the paste that go with it. Its not premium paste. I would instead suggest using Artic Silver 5, and don’t forget to replace the thermal pad on the chipset with a pad that is just a little bit 0.1mm thicker, to give some leeway for the wear and tear on the thermal pad. Not too thick however, then the solution wont touch the CPU.
