The Pioneer DVR-21LBK offers up to 24x writing on DVD-R/+R media and up to 12x writing on DVD-R/+R (DL). This high speed DVD/CD writer allows users to create personal DVD movies, make digital photo slideshows, burn music CDs, and backup data files on recordable DVD and CD media with ease (software and cables not included).

A quiet Drive!
I installed this and windows 7 recognised this straight away. My old drive had a problem with CD-RW/DVD-RW media. However, no such trouble writing/reading with this drive. Have tried out with some other media types and no problems so far. It is reasonably quiet even at high speed.
The only small negative observation is that the green LED on front panel light is difficult to see when it is active, compared to my other drive. You have to get close to it see it as it is recessed.
Other than that, it is an excellent drive.

Nothing to complain about, working great, maybe is important to say he’s very quiet devices (Pioneer is one between the best brand when we are talking about optic devices), very simple to install. thanks
